Blizzard hat bekannt gegeben, dass die Arsenal Mobile App für World of Warcraft im Juli eingestellt wird. Die WoW Companion App wird ihr Ersatz.
Erst im April hatten wir berichtet, dass das Auktionshaus in der Arsenal Mobile App abgeschaltet wird. Nun geht Blizzard noch einen Schritt weiter und stellt die gesamte Arsenal App am 11. Juli 2018 ein. Für die mobilen Pläne von World of Warcraft ist das aber erst der Anfang.
Mit WoW Legion wurde die Legion Companion App eingeführt, die es euch ermöglicht von unterwegs aus Missionen in der Klassenhalle zu absolvieren, Forschungen anzustoßen, Diener zu rekrutieren und eure Champions auszurüsten. Aus dieser App wird in Zukunft die WoW Companion App. Dort sollen auch einige der beliebtesten Features der Arsenal App ihren Platz finden.
Dazu wird es neue Features für Battle for Azeroth in der App geben. Zum Beispiel bietet BfA ebenfalls wieder die Möglichkeit Missionen am Tisch zu absolvieren oder Forschungen anzustoßen. Auch unsere Anhänger dürften wir dann dort wohl wieder ausrüsten können.
Meine Meinung: Insgesamt ist es ein logischer und nachvollziebarer Schritt. Mehrere Apps für WoW zu haben, ist zu unübersichtlich und kostet nur Ressourcen. Dass sich Blizzard nun auf die eine App konzentriert und diese mit Features füllt, freut mich. Ich mochte schon die Legion App und bin gespannt, welche Features sie aus der Arsenal App übernehmen.

As of July 11, 2018, we will no longer be supporting the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app. But this isn’t the end of the road, as we’re continuing to develop and improve our mobile offering for World of Warcraft.
As a part of our commitment to providing WoW players with a living, connected experience on multiple fronts, we are transitioning away from the current World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app and will be converting the Legion Companion App into a new WoW Companion App in the future. As part of that, we’ll be incorporating many of your favorite World of Warcraft Armory app features along with features for Battle for Azeroth into a new shared app for a more streamlined experience.
